Privacy-friendly alternative to Google Analytics

Today I discovered…

Plausible

A lightweight (< 1 KB) and GDPR/CCPA/PECR compliant web analytics suite

💖 What I like:

• It’s lightweight

• It’s privacy regulations compliant

• Their approach to “build in public” and remaining bootstrapped

👎 What I dislike:

• No user retention analytics (this is the #1 key metric I expect from my web analytics tool)

• I wish if their license was more open(e.g. MIT)
